by Victoria Selvaggio
All of us must face many daily challenges, but whatever age we are, we still need to try our best in all we do. We need to learn to be happy and accept ourselves, no matter what others may say or think about us.
In Because, I’m Afraid, Victoria A. Selvaggio relates the story of a small child’s anxiety and how a parent must cope with the challenge. In this story, the parent encourages the child to express his feelings, telling him not to be ashamed for being afraid. Together, the parent and child agree that what is really important is believing in themselves and trying their best in everything.
