by Linda Faltin
Captain Booby Trap is the result of a fulfilled promise and the exploration of the relationship between a father and his daughter. Taking the memoirs of his World War II experiences as a booby trap and mines expert which were left to her by her father, the author tells his story. But, in so doing, she also makes discoveries - about the parts of her father she had not known, about herself and her relationship with her father. Captain Booby Trap thus provides a unique view of both a segment of World War II seen through one man's eyes and a daughter's rediscovery of her father.
