The Invisible Patriot
by Larry Smith

Racial discrimination is something Larry Smith is all too familiar with. The odds were against him since birth simply because he is an African-American. Racism held him back in every area of his life, from high school and collegiate athletics to his time spent in the Air Force.

Because of his determination and unfaltering desire to succeed, Larry Smith overcame many trials and tribulations and used his heartbreak as fuel to reach his goals. His memoir is a tribute to the definition of the human spiritís ability to overcome insurmountable odds and achieve the American dream, no matter oneís race, creed, or social standing.

About the Author

Larry Smith is a retired U.S. postal worker and Air Force veteran. He has earned a degree in business administration, has a certificate in aerospace science, and has an auto mechanics diploma. He is married with two children and is a life member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV and NAACP.

His hobbies and interests include baseball and collegiate wrestling. Mr. Smith says his inspiration to write his book stemmed from forty years of racial discrimination and racial profiling.
