by Kelly L. Bushnell
The story you are about to read is about Kobalt and his band of faithful warriors as told by one young warrior named Kelb. The story will unfold for you through his eyes and all his thoughts. Kobalt’s home planet is attacked by an empire called the Krogens, and Kobalt loses his son, wife, and his parents. He and the other warriors have vowed to overcome this threat and not only defeat the invasion force on his planet, but completely wipe out the race of Krogens from the universe. With rage and rage only to motivate them, they will bring other species they meet to their cause all the while Kelb is learning what a great warrior Kobalt is, and he also learns and grows himself.
Can Kobalt and his warriors really defeat the empire known as the Krogens? Can a race of beings with no technology but great strength really have a chance against the great empire that has taken over hundreds of planets over hundreds of years in our time? All we can hope here on our planet is that Kobalt and his warriors are able to complete the task they have put before them, for we could be next.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and am the married father of two. I am an avid motorcyclist. I grew up reading comic books and playing out the adventures and am a huge science-fiction fan. Any movie where there is good versus evil, super beings fighting injustice, I am there. I am a geek maybe, but I am not alone there! I love to read a book or watch a movie that takes me away from the reality of life.
I have always enjoyed storytelling, and if you would talk to any of my friends or family, they would agree. When I was a kid, I would always pretend I was this unstoppable warrior named Kobalt. That’s how long ago I created the characters you are reading about today. And I hope you enjoy the story.
I have more planned for these characters, and the story will continue. I really enjoy writing about these men. The way I write is by picturing what is going on in my head like watching a movie. I see the characters and what happens to them, and then I write about what I am seeing. I know that sounds a little strange, but it is how it works for me.
