by Gisela Lorca

Soon it will be Christmas. Everyone’s so busy – shoppers, vendors – even little Teddy’s mother pushes him out of the house. So he wanders through the village streets. Teddy longs to be part of it all – to be helpful, to play – but no one needs or wants him. Children also turn him away. All alone and sad, Teddy pulls his sled up a steep high hill. When he reaches the top, he sits down and cries. Suddenly, the snow angel’s frosty breath magically turns his tears into snowflakes. What a merry Christmas Teddy will have. The Little Boy Who Cried Snowflakes is the story of a miracle for everyone to enjoy.

Gisela Lorca is a professional dancer who began her career with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet and in Broadway shows. Later, she and her partner performed internationally as the renowned flamenco dance team of Soler and Lorca. Her travels made her adept in five foreign languages. She has written stories and poems since early childhood. Although Lorca studied at the Art Students’ League in New York City, she chooses to keep her illustrations simple and childlike in nature for her children’s stories.

Lorca continues to perform, and she also teaches ballet and flamenco dance. She currently resides in Maplewood, New Jersey.
