Airlines, behind the lines, bloodlines, facial lines, funny lines, historical lines—above all, memorable lines. Lines is a book of poetry for everyone who loves words and loves life. Marci Sellers take you places you’ve never been, places where the lines of personal and public history intersect. These poems also take you to places of the heart. Lines is rich in traditional verse such as sonnet, villanelle, sestina, ghazal, and other forms, all made new again by a master poet. The music, meaning and memorability of the poems in Lines makes this book a masterpiece.

Marci Sellers—mother, wife, poet—is a retired English professor who makes her home in East Amherst, New York. Her extensive travels have taken her and her husband from the exotic to the local: They have been to Middleburg, Virginia; Gallipolis, Ohio; Lackawanna, New York; and more remote places such as England, Australia, India, and the Caribbean. These travels have worked their way into her poetry. She keeps extensive journals that allow her to reflect on all her experiences. Her poetry has appeared in American Tanka, Maui Times, Moment, ELF, The Buffalo News, and The Caribbean Writer, among others.
