by Patti V.

Sometimes everyone needs a loving hug, and in the story “My Na Na,“ when Julie tries to explain something to her mom, they end up giving each other a hug. Julie learns just how nice that can be.

“Cry Bear” takes you into a different world, one of magic and bears. With the help of a tiny brown bear, you will learn that by helping others, you are sure to receive kindness in return.

The third and last story, “Bobby’s Day,” recounts an experience that not only takes Bobby into giggles, but his Granma as well. All in all, it winds up to be a truly fun day for both of them.

Although this is Patti V.'s first foray into story writing, her love of written stories can be traced back to the sixth grade when her teacher chose her to read a story about green rocks, a thrilling experience for her.

Her life’s journey took her down another path--one where she was struck down by cancer, a disease her doctor’s say is now cured. To each day she gives a warm embrace. Now she faces another dilemma: Due to past injuries, her spinal cord is being crushed. Each day is a little harder as she slips toward paralysis.

Writing these stories for children all around the globe has brought her much enjoyment. May peace be our first step in life.
