This entertaining children’s story is about a young boy named Barry who goes to the beachside every summer with his family. He loves to collect shells and treasures from the sand and even secretly enjoys having his sister come, too. One day they discover something amazing: a golden coin that gives them a funny feeling when they touch it. Barry’s father, who works at a bank, takes the coin to an expert, who says it is a very old Egyptian coin worth enough to put Barry through a university. They decide to see the coin to a collector and save the money for Barry’s future.

The coin is mysteriously stolen from the collector’s case, however, and shows up as rings in a jewelry store. When Althea sees the rings while shopping with her fiancé, Bruce, she must have them. They buy them, get married, and are on their honeymoon in Egypt when she starts to see a vision of a woman appearing in front of her all the time. She asks who she is, and the woman says she is Egyptian Iris, Goddess of the Dead. Bruce does not believe her and encourages her to go to a doctor, but at the doctor’s, Iris appears to her again. They finally discover they must destroy the rings for Iris to leave this realm and finally be at peace. But the rings are mysteriously stolen again before they can destroy them.

About the Author

I was born and raised in a small village in Ohio, with ten brothers and sisters. I was exposed at an early age to reading; my mother read every chance she got. With each book, my imagination grew, and from that I started writing stories.

I am a mother and grandmother, and I tried to impress how much enjoyment you can get from reading. I do quite a bit of volunteer work in the community and church. My hobbies are painting Ukrainian and ostrich eggs, and I also enjoy ceramics. I enjoy traveling, and I belong to a square dance club.
