ABOUT THE AUTHOR

R. M. Ahmose resided for most of his childhood in a separated-parent household. The family of four (augmented occasionally by a sister being raised by a relative) occupied several domiciles within some of the toughest communities in Baltimore, Maryland. Following a rocky academic phase during adolescence, Ahmose attended the following colleges and universities in pursuit of either degrees or licensure: Morgan State (then) College, Virginia Commonwealth University, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, the University of Baltimore, Virginia Union University, Virginia State University, and Regent University. He earned a baccalaureate at VCU and an M.S. degree from UB. His attendance at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County fell short of the Ph.D. goal.
