“The arrival of the oil giants, unwelcome in the first place, soon shattered the ideal ambience of their primitive paradise…. And once the crude began to gush, the spill and the sludge killed or drove all the crayfish and prawns to deeper sea, beyond the reach of rustic fisherman.”

The fictional Shadows across the Sea traces the consequences of the arrival of giant oil companies in the Gulf of Guinea through a tale of military adventure, political intrigue, interracial romance, and betrayal in a detailed multi-plot story that draws from a rich array of varied characters.

A tragi-comedy of local tyranny, international politics, and corporate struggle for power, Shadows across the Sea is rife with commentary on global society and emerging world culture.
