The Sober Enterprise
was written out of instinct to survive. Rehabs and anonymous groups failed. Countless physicians and mental health practitioners fluent in advanced treatments for addiction all failed Colin.

This project began as a controversial theory conceived in the mind of a dying heroin addict postulating a cure for any “disease” of dependency. The author suggests addiction is really a surrogate identity assuming control through habit. The only antidote promising lifelong sobriety is critical analysis and development of authentic personality.

Through radical revisions in belief, relationship overviews, and establishment of moral responsibilities, this book produces the most sober of perspectives.

Colin Sweeney is a twenty-eight-year-old author of self-help and poetry works who resides near Chicago with his wife and two young daughters. Before twenty he was addicted to heroin and headed for certain death. He had no choice but to enlist the help of doctors, counselors, clinics, and rehabs to save his life. After prevailing techniques for treatment failed, Colin saved himself through critical self-analysis, integrating methods from institutions across the country and inventing and developing advanced recovery skills. These efforts culminated in a volume designed to cure anyone of substance abuse and related behaviors, The Sober Enterprise.
