by Marylyn Kight Porter
Speedy the Snail and His New Family is the story of a snail who meets his new family in a most unexpected way. This book was inspired by a real-life Speedy who did indeed make himself at home with the Porter family. The Porters would certainly agree that Speedy has been their most unusual pet so far. They have also learned quite a bit about snails as they have taken care of Speedy. They are delighted to be able to share their experience with young readers.
