About the Author
Gayla Christine Griswold was raised in the Uintah Basin in Northeastern Utah during the 1960s. While attending Steven Henagers Business College in Salt Lake, just before her nineteenth birthday, she was in a terrible car accident that left her in a coma for over a week. It made her realize how precious life is, and so she began her search for the true God.
Gayla graduated from Stevenís Henagerís Business School in 1972 and worked at the bank as a commercial loan stenographer in her hometown of Roosevelt. She was married in 1973 and had three children, a daughter and two sons.
Gaylaís love of writing has won her poetry awards. When her children were small, she sat down with pen and paper and began writing her memoirs. She wanted to share with others what life was like growing up in the 50s and 60s. She also had a story to tell that might help children today who suffer from child abuse; and hopes that by sharing her story they will realize that they are not alone.
Gayla now has six grandchildren.
