by Ken Goode

To say the Kenneth Dumas’s family is dysfunctional may be an understatement. His father is an alcoholic; his mother, an illiterate. Then there’s his eccentric sister, Georgia, and the brother he never knew he had—until he came home from a POW camp. And how about the time his mother bribed him into forging his dad’s name on some divorce papers?

Join Kenneth as he tries to change his negative world into a positive one. He meets depressed cheerleader Liz Boatman in high school group therapy, the girl he will one day marry—after tracking her to a mental hospital. Grow with him as he renews his relationship with his mother and the once-cold woman warms to her son’s love. Kenneth is determined to tune in to a positive frequency.

Born in Perrin Air Force, Ken Goode has lived in Grayson County, Texas, all of his life. A self-employed resident of Denison, he completed his schooling there. He gained most of the information for the fictional Dumas family by talking with the residents of Denison and sharing stories at the local barbershop.
